Green Hydrogen (GH) is one of the most promising solutions in the global shift toward clean energy. Unlike conventional hydrogen, which is produced from fossil fuels, green hydrogen is generated through the electrolysis of water using renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, or hydro power. This process releases no carbon emissions—making it a truly sustainable fuel for the future.

With global hydrogen demand already exceeding 90 million tonnes annually, the need for cleaner production methods has never been greater. In India, consumption currently stands at around 6 million tonnes and is projected to more than double by 2030. Meeting this demand sustainably could play a major role in helping India reach its target of 500 GW of non-fossil energy capacity by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2070.

Beyond its environmental advantages, green hydrogen also offers energy security and economic opportunity. As industries transition away from fossil fuels, GH can power heavy manufacturing, transportation, and grid storage—reducing dependence on imported energy sources and fostering new green industries.

Green hydrogen isn’t just a cleaner alternative—it’s a pathway to transforming how the world produces and uses energy.
